We have resumed in-person indoor minyanim for Shabbat and holidays!
REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED AND LIMITED. Please fill out and submit the registration form below after reviewing the COVID Safety Rules.
Due to lack of sufficient attendance, regular weekday in-person services will not be held until further notice. Please join the Evening Study Moments through the Minyan WhatsApp group at

To ensure a safe re-engagement of the Dor Tikvah congregation, we plan to have a 3-stage re-opening. View this letter for information on our plan for resuming services.
Community COVID-19 statistics will continue to be assessed weekly in order to proceed to each stage. Go to for updates.

  • All persons wishing to attend Minyan must complete pre-registration safety screening. Persons who have not completed pre-registration may not attend.
  • All persons are to wear a mask at all times – surgical and cloth masks are acceptable.
  • Social distancing is to be observed at minyan at 8 feet between individuals. This applies to attendees on arrival and departure as well.
  • The maximum number attending a minyan is 40 persons, until further notice.
  • Please bring your own siddur (and your own chair, if desired).
  • Someone at minyan will be designated to monitor compliance, ensure attendees are pre-registered and record attendance in case follow up becomes necessary.
  • If someone becomes ill during minyan, they are to be isolated at once and arrangements are to be made for them to leave as soon as possible.
  • Congregants in higher-risk categories e.g. all those with existing health conditions are discouraged from attending services until COVID-19 conditions are stabilized. Congregants 65 years and older should use their discretion with regard to attending services. Children under the age of 10 years should not attend minyan until further notice.
  • Congregants traveling outside of the Charleston area will need to wait for a 2 week period prior to attending minyan services. Visitors to Charleston will be subject to the same waiting period upon their arrival.
